How to Make a Spa in a Jar Gift:
Let your friends and family indulge in much-deserved self-care this season with the best personalised pampering gift: a spa in a jar! This is not only an incredibly thoughtful present for any occasion from birthdays to Christmas, but it’s sure to serve as a lovely pick me up when those closest need extra TLC during stressful times. Show them that you genuinely care by bringing joy into their lives through one of the most calming gifts anyone can receive: a bit of pampering at home.
This spa-in-a-jar gift can be as creative and personalised as you’d like. Start by gathering some essential pampering goodies, such as bath bombs, body scrubs or washes, facial masks, nail polishes, aromatherapy items like essential oils, candles or diffusers, and anything that will bring relaxation and comfort.
I’ve listed all the items in my spa in a jar. However, you can easily change these to suit the recipient. The jar I have used is a Kilner round clip-top storage jar. You don’t need to use the same jar, but ensure the opening is large enough to fit all the items in.
The items in my spa in a jar:
Cotton face cloth – Eye mask – Under eye strips – Face mask – Exfoliating gloves – Hair mask – Nail clippers – Tweezers –Nail file – Toe dividers – Cuticle oil – Pink nail varnish – Nail top coat
When popping the items in the jar, arrange them so the labels can be seen from outside. This way, the recipient can see what’s inside straight away. It may take several attempts to get all the items looking the way you want inside the jar, but keep adjusting; you’ll soon get it looking perfect!
Once you’re satisfied with the look of the jar, it’s time to add some decorations. I prefer simple decorations, so I just attached ribbons and a label. You don’t have to stop there; you can add other decorations.
You can attach a store-bought gift tag or make a personalised gift label. If you’d like to use my label, you can download it here.
Alternative Items to Put in a Spa in a Jar?
You could make it travel-themed with some travel essentials such as a travel-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitiser wipes, hand sanitiser, and some travel shampoo, conditioner, and soap bars.
How about a manicure or pedicure kit with a selection of tools and nail polish, and maybe some homemade foot scrubs and soaks? You could also add some candles, chocolates, and perhaps an alcoholic drink, such as a miniature bottle of wine or ingredients for a cocktail or two.
The list of items you can use is truly endless. This spa-in-a-jar gift doesn’t have to be just for the females in your life. How about putting together a gift for the man in your life? After all, they need some pampering now and again, too!
You can either gift a spa in a jar as it is or, for someone special, add a cosy robe and slippers, a beautiful-smelling candle and a bottle of wine for the perfect pampering gift!
